Is this course for you?

This course is not for everyone. Read this before you reserve.

For you if

You already operate, and want the cases you refer out.

  • You already place single implants and want to move into full-arch cases
  • You do some full-arch but want a cleaner, guide-free method with wider case coverage
  • You want to understand the clinical reasoning behind each decision you make
  • You're ready to work hard for 3 full days. This is not a conference you sit through.
  • You want a method that works without expensive specialized equipment you don't already own
  • You are an experienced full arch surgeon with conventional approaches like zygos, sinus lifts and augmentations and you want simpler, graftless and zygo-less approaches
Not yet

Hold off for now.

  • You haven't started placing basic implants yet
  • You're looking for a passive, lecture-only educational event
  • You want to operate on live patients yourself. That is the Special Ops bootcamp in Rio, and most surgeons take this course first.

“A terrific course! A very comprehensive display of protocols from maxilla and mandible, particularly the palatal approach, trans-sinus, trans-nasal, pterygoids and the new custom subperiosteals. I would certainly recommend this course.”

Michael PikosMichael PikosUSA

“I am way beyond surprised. Bernardo has shown us what can be done in full arch cases. I recommend it for everyone, specially for the people in the United States because this course is definitely next level up.”

David TingDavid TingUSA

“The techniques I learned here were mind blowing! A real game-changer in my practice because these techniques are not taught in USA. Bernardo doesn't only talk about things, he actually does it.”

Art MirelezArt MirelezUSA

“By far, the best CE that I ever took. I feel that I can apply the techniques tomorrow. It's unconventional, defying and career altering.”

Alexander StewartAlexander StewartUSA

“Bernardo took the time to look at literature to understand what can be done, what should be done, what's possible and what's not the best option. He gave us all the little tips and tricks to do it easier, more efficiently and oh-my-god so fast.”

Jeff BynumJeff BynumUSA

“I am super happy and recommend it to everybody. It's a very advanced course but very easy to follow. Lots of hands-on to incorporate what you just learned.”

Alyssa MenciniAlyssa MenciniUSA

“Effective, inspiring, defying and very complete. I recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their surgical skills in full arch surgery.”

Valentina OrmazabalValentina OrmazabalFrance

“I recommend this course not only for beginner implantologists but for those who have 10-15 years of experience, because there is still a lot to learn about these immediate loading techniques.”

Jure ZargiJure ZargiSlovenia

“I do strongly recommend this course for anyone who has experience in implant dentistry and wants the next step in full arch immediate loading protocols.”

Dr. Bernardo Sousa, Full Arch Club

Dr. Bernardo Sousa

He worked and operated alongside Paulo Maló at Maló Clinic Lisbon, the clinic where the All-on-4® was developed, and went on to develop a less invasive, alternative approach that resolves about 99.9% of full-arch cases in a single session, with far fewer zygomatic implants and without the tools most courses say you need.

Two techniques he pioneered define his approach: the Palatal Approach, a technique he developed as an alternative to zygomatic implants, and the modern revival of subperiosteal implants with CBCT and 3D printing. He is a frequent speaker around the world, with presence at the Pikos Symposium (Florida), ICOI (San Diego), the JD Symposium (Italy), Full Arch House (Gdansk), Zygomax (Greece) and ELBI (Rio de Janeiro), to name a few.

Common questions.

No. The Mastercourse is designed for dentists who already place single implants and want to move into full-arch. If you're doing implant-supported single crowns and partials, you have the right starting point. What the course gives you is the method and the clinical confidence to take the next step.
This is one of the defining differences of the Mastercourse. Surgeons who rely on guides spend hours behind a computer reading CBCTs and planning virtual implants before they even pick up an instrument. They become IT technicians instead of surgeons. Bernardo's method: open, read the anatomy live, place. "If I spend more than two minutes reading a CBCT, I am incompetent." No surgical guides, no bone grafts, and minimal zygomatic use. You learn to operate with what a well-equipped general practice already has.
Full-arch immediate loading was born in Lisbon, and this is the only course we know of that covers the full spectrum: about 99.9% of full-arch cases without bone grafting, without digital guides, and with minimal zygomatic use. Two of the techniques in the protocol started here: the Palatal Approach, which Dr. Sousa pioneered, and the modern subperiosteal revival with CBCT and 3D printing. Most courses teach a derivative. This is the source.
Zygomatic implants are 40-60mm implants placed in the cheekbone, close to the eye. The complications when things go wrong are serious:
  • Oro-antral communications
  • Blindness and/or diplopia
  • Infra orbital nerve injury
  • Skin infections and fistulas
  • Exposed threads
  • Sinusitis
  • Fracture of zygomatic bone
  • Overextended implant in the skin
  • Etc.
The risk profile is the highest for surgeons with limited experience, which is exactly the profile of someone attending a full-arch course. We teach zygomatics too, but as what they are: a last resort for less than 1% of cases, not a default. Our other techniques, such as the Palatal Approach, resolve the vast majority of the extreme cases without that risk profile.

The best zygo is the one you avoid!

Yes. You keep lifetime access to the alumni group, 1,000+ surgeons worldwide. Real cases, feedback from peers, and when needed, from Bernardo.
More than 2,000 surgeons have already taken the Mastercourse and changed how they practice. Many became the reference for full-arch in their city, and a few became a reference worldwide. The course costs less than a single full-arch case. Reserve your seat.
No. In the Mastercourse the live surgery is demonstrative: Dr. Sousa operates and you watch, then you practice the protocol hands-on on human-size models. Operating on live patients yourself is the Live Surgery Bootcamp, Special Ops, four days in Rio de Janeiro. Most surgeons take the Mastercourse first, and we recommend it in that order.
